Flintshire Social Enterprises working in collaboration with Flintshire County Council report huge social impact value

For the last three years members of the Flintshire Social Enterprise Partnership have been working in Partnership with Flintshire County Council on an innovative Flintshire Social Enterprise Social Impact Toolkit.

The aim of this toolkit is to demonstrate the financial value of the activities of Flintshire based social enterprise through their activities.

For many of 13 the groups reporting on the toolkit, the financial year April 23 to March 24 represents their first full-year’s reporting.

Historically, though the value of the work of social enterprises is known to be invaluable, it has not been possible to evidence this value financially. The development of this toolkit changes that. This year the total social value evidenced was £2,429,778.

The toolkit is fully audited by Flintshire County Council and for the first time this year participating social enterprises were presented by a certificate by Niall Waller, Service Manager – Enterprise and Regeneration Planning, Environment and Economy at FCC demonstrating the social value for the year.

These certificates can be used to support funding and finance applications, business awards and within  promotional materials

Access to the Social Impact Toolkit is available free to social enterprises registered in Flintshire and there are now thirteen social enterprises reporting on the impact toolkit including; Care and Repair North-East Wales, Cafgas CIC, Beyond the Boundaries CIC, Dangerpoint, Art and Soul Tribe CIC, RainbowBiz CIC, Double Print Design and Print CIC, Sport for Champions CIC, Well Fed, North-East Wales Mind, Rockworks Academy Ltd and Warm Wales.
